“Spending time together does not make a better church, but being
together with this fellowship makes my time well spent.”
Elder Donald R. Hutchinson
Our theme for 2010 “Run On!” was relevent and inspirational. God has once again blessed us through
another year. This year we have seen the hand of God sustain and support this fellowship through national turbulent times.
I Cor 9:24-27, scripture declares to the people …to run this race as one who desires to win…
2010 has allowed Tyrus the opportunity to reevaluate and regain the right perspective in purpose. Like
runners in a race we know the call is to win but the challenge is to finish. God does not expect to win every race but He
does expects us to be faithful in the race. God breathed into this fellowship its second wind that produced faithfulness
and fruifulness. To God be the glory!
The 2010 New Direction
Women’s Conference challenged us to put things into priority. The theme this year was "Time Well Spent"!
The conference called all women to consider the quality of time and quanitity of time we spend with God. The year 2011
promises to be a stellar year for women in this city and God is calling this fellowship to lead the advance.
Doing something new was obviously what God had in mind when Tyrus introduced “The
Seven Next Words of Christ”, which we believed opened a new chapter in church fellowship. God has not only opened a
new chapter, but added new faces. We have seen people from denominational and social backgrounds find home in Tyrus. We realize
the currency of heaven is words and that souls are the church’s deposit into God’s economy!
Our annual
Victory Awards Banquet was a huge success that celebrates the inreach as well as outreach of several fellowship members.
As you read this now we hope you can see how God
has released us to RUN On, as the song writer says "to see what the end may be". We are excited, because
in 2011 God has declared through Elder Donald it is our year to Recover A.L.L., this year is our year to reap the harvest
of souls, substance and spirit of recovery?
